What is our expectation? What is our hope? We all can relate to experiences in which we are or were waiting for the Lord. Whether we are waiting for a job, a big promotion, to become pregnant, to get married, to purchase a home or a new car, our expectation from God is that He allows us to enjoy our life and to be happy.

Waiting on God to fulfill His promise is not always easy. Sometimes it may feel as if our prayers go unanswered. It may feel as if the urgency of our situation or circumstance is misunderstood. If we expect God to allow us to be happy and enjoy our lives, then why do we feel like God is not fair or in control? Is it because our situation or circumstance hasn't changed? Do we have unrealistic expectations from God? Does God care about our future? Of course He does. God allows situations and circumstances through our tears, praise, triumphs and failures to write a medley of noise designed by significant chords of our lives.

Chords orchestrated together make beautiful music. It is the unity of those chords and medleys that make a symphony. Choose to live for Him and not for what we expect Him to do for our own self gratification. We have a commitment to Him and our future is defined by Him. God wants to give us the best, but in order to receive the promises of God we have to be refreshed, renewed, taught and purified by God. We have to retain our relationship with Him. We all can admit we have useless things in our lives. Those useless things can be a hindrance towards us and our blessings from God. Don't allow those useless things define our future. Be of good courage. Our hope is in Him. When our circumstance appears bleak, trust God's perfect will and perfect timing.

We need to remind ourselves when we feel uncertain or impatient, give thanks to God. When we place our hope in Him, we will never be disappointed about our future. Give Him our confidence. Don't allow the world to aid in temporary hope and fulfillment. Only He can water our thirsty soul. He loves us and will give us best. He wants a relationship with us and desires of us to trust Him. Trust is built through vulnerable situations in which we have to rely on Him when we just don't know. Through His covenant, God has a hope and a future for us that is undeniable. He is the way and brings everlasting life.
